OUR PROCESS
Every backyard project starts out as an idea. It is our job to turn your ideas into reality. Outlined below is the process we follow to do just that, “from start to splash”.
A true custom builder is one who takes the time to carefully consider and understand the specific needs and desires of each individual customer. At Paul Miller Custom Pools, every project begins with a series of collaborative consultation sessions directly with our team of builders, who will guide the entire construction process.
We believe that intelligent design is a product of function. That’s why the team at Paul Miller Custom Pools takes great pride in working closely with our customers during the design process. We pair over three decades of experience in pool construction with the insights of our customers to create a truly unique backyard environment.
BRENT IN KELLER, TEXAS“Paul Miller did exactly what he said he would do and delivered to us the most beautiful pool we have ever had.”
CONSTRUCTION
Our team of builders manage each project from the initial consultation through the end of construction to ensure the integrity of each build.
- EXCAVATION
The first step in the construction process involves grading the pool area, setting the elevation of the pool, forming the beam of the pool, and digging the pool itself. The integrity of the entire build hinges upon this phase of construction, so we take great care to ensure a well executed excavation.
- STRUCTURAL CONSTRUCTION
Once the pool has been excavated, the structure of the pool is established during the steel, plumbing, and gunite phases. Steel is bent by hand to line the interior of the pool, increasing the tensile strength of the overall structure. Return lines are placed in specfic locations to ensure the proper flow of water. Gunite is shot and shaped to form the final structure of the swimming pool.
- BEAUTIFICATION
Once the final structure of the pool has been established, our team of artisans and craftsman go to work to bring color and form into your backyard. Stone is locally sourced and cut by hand to form the coping surrounding the pool. Tiles and ceramics from around the world are applied to the waterline of the pool, introducing a source of color to the environment.
